April 4th 2015 - I have had a bad experience with the Reid and Taylor store on Kamaraj Road, Commercial Street, Bangalore. I had gone there for a Suit, and had given specific instructions on what I expected in the suit.
April 14 2015 - When I went for the trial fit, the blazer was ill stitched. Too tight at the arm pit, preventing me from lifting my hands comfortably. They had put slits at the back, when I had said specifically no. Stitch quality was poor, and there were lots of folds in the cloth. When I pointed it out, the tailor’s reaction was like he was talking to an illiterate who does not know what is good for him and in fact said that it was my body shape which was a problem. Who ever heard of that. I also said that the color of the suit was not my selection. He tried to fool me by saying that this is how it looks in artificial light, but is different in natural light.
I did not accept the first part and asked for alterations, including increasing arm length on the suit, making it loose at the armpit, remove the tails at the back
April 30 2015 - What do I get. No change. Same suit and that rude sales man and tailor speak condescendingly again. We take the suit out to natural light and it is not the same fabric as I selected. They realize their mistake and start muttering about better quality. Crap
They say their Manager Azmath will be back in 1 hour and will call me to discuss the same.
1 hour passes, 3 hours pass. no call. Late in the day, so I do not call them in the night
May 1, 2015 - I call and am put on hold for 20 minutes each time and no courtesy of even an apology. Finally when I get angry, they connect me with their Manager. He starts by stating that even though they did a mistake, he is prepared to forget it and give me the "higher quality" suit instead of the one I chose. Ha ha. Later he says, as a favor, he is willing to waive stitching charges on a second suit, but I will need to take this suit in a lousy color. I call his office back in 30 minutes to ask for options and no answer. Again put on hold 2-3 times
Finally they give me his cell. I call his cell thrice, but no response. I send a SMS no response.
This is shitty crappy service. Reid and Taylor may be good, but these guys literally suck and are filthy. They have no care for a customer sensitivities, since half the cost is already paid and I caught in the trap. Beware of these fraudulent people. No business sense.
I am going to try talking to them tomorrow once more and then maybe file a cheating case with the police. Any contacts in Police/ Reid and Taylor welcome
